Cloud-Computing is a cloud based data storage system as well as it provides various
computing services such as Servers, Networking, Analytics, Software’s.
Nowadays, people prefer to save their data on a cloud based data storage systems,
this gives them emote access and is much better than storing it in hard drive or any
device which needs to be carried along wherever you go
.
Why is it Called Cloud-Computing?
Wherever we go, we can see clouds, they are there. Similarly, Cloud Computing gives
us the liberty to access our data from anywhere and at any time. Basically, it is
named as such because the data you want to access can be found from
anywhere.
Is it Safe?
Well, nothing can be 100% safe on the internet. While thinking of using this service
questions like, will my data be safe? What if someone else gets it? Will rise in your
mind and these are obvious and genuine questions.
Let us tell you about it. Whenever you store your data on the Cloud, the service
provider can access it at any time. Sometimes, knowingly or unknowingly data are
altered/ gets altered. The service provider can share your data with third parties and
you can’t do much about it since it comes in as a clause in their privacy policy which
you have to agree before using it.
However, it completely depends on from which service provider you are taking the
services. IT companies are using these Cloud Services on a large scale. Just like you
won’t share your personal data with anyone do not upload it on the cloud as well.
Benefits-
- Can be accessed from anywhere and anytime.
- You do not have to worry about the storage space.
- You get accessed to various services like, networking, software, database, servers.
Disadvantages:
Privacy is a concern, but it depends on the service provider and the service you
choose. Do not upload private data on the net.
